The Sociedad Calificadora de Riesgo Centroamericana S.A. – SCRiesgo- is a risk rating company, which has rating methodologies for different types of companies and projects. We initiated operations in Costa Rica since 1997, when we received the authorization by the Superintendencia General de Valores de Costa Rica (SUGEVAL). At the end of the 2004 we registered before the Comisión Nacional de Valores de Panamá (CONAVAL) the company Sociedad Calificadora de Riesgo de Centroamérica, with the purpose of offering same services to the panamanian market. At the moment SCRiesgo is in an expansion process towards other markets of the region.

We have methodologies for the analysis of emissions of non-financial organization, financial institutions, investment funds, shares, securitizations and insurances companies.

We have jointly participated with International Rating Companies in the rating for international aims of several Costa Rican Banks, among which we can mention Banco Internacional de Costa Rica - BICSA (October 1997 and October 1998), Banco Nacional de Costa Rica - BNCR (January 1997 and December 1999), BAC International Bank (December 1997 and February 1999) and Banco Crédito Agrícola de Cartago - BCAC (August 1998).
